I haven't had problems with the release on these boots when I've crashed. I admit they are a little heavy, but the level of comfort in the ride and landings makes up for them. These are the best boots I've ridden in. Much better than the hyperlite 3ds' I used to ride. I've had a little problem with the gluing coming loose around the base of the boots, but they are still holding together after riding them regularly for a full season. Since I got them in the off season, the price was 1/2 off which I recommend doing with pretty much any board and binding.

The boots rock! They fit great and feel like slippers. The new 07 have an even softer, more conforming feel to them. Great for use with high quality boards that require maximum control and stiffness. They are still definitely flexible enough to be used with a roam or a covenant. It also keeps your toes warm during those cold days.

These boots are super comfy. They are really responsive and when it's cold and windy and they keep your toes warm. Once you have them cinched up, they are not going to come off of your feet. They are really great. Mine do not have the gold trim. They are just white.

These bindings are really nice. Great support but they don't really ever release. They give a nice ride but they are really heavy which kills pop a bit. They make you a little tired but the weight makes it land great.

These are the most comfortable bindings I have ever stepped into. They don't flex that well but that is what you want! Note: the limiteds are a lot cooler looking than the regular shanes.
