Bottom Line: this is a board designed by a larger rider, for larger riders(trevor). Im a larger rider so i need the added width in the midline of the board to get the pop i need. It is true that this sacrifices turning and speed but that can be adjusted with riding style. The x's in the tip and tail make this board's swing weight very low for 3's and 5's. Also the double v bottom provides soft landings. Great board for someone who like a wider midline for greater ride height and pop.

I own this board as well as the transcend platinum and the 2007 fraction. The marius is a nice board for certain styles of riding and particular things. This board is very slow and does not turn or track well. When you catch the edge on this board you fall hard. The weight of this board (heavy) makes inverts more difficult and has too much momentum which causes you to over rotate your spins. It's an advanced level board that is in cwbs high-end line. It takes alot of getting used to and if your riding under 23+ miles an hour it's not the board for you. Although it doesn't cut hard, it does give you a little room for error on your landings. Hope this helped.

I own several boards; 133 and 138 ps3, watson, absolute platinum, 129 fish, and now marius platinum. This board takes awhile getting used to but it has some nice benefits. It lands really soft and has a loose feel without the center fin. Surface tricks are easy to do on this board. The pop is really nice. Inverts are easy but I go out farther and drift in before I lay on the edge. I think toeside jumps and switch seem more difficult with this board. Rough water is a bit harder as well. I am an intermediate rider. This board I ride more than any of my others.

A little heavy but locks in and edges hard, way fun on surface tricks, and pop is amazing and consistent. 08 is faster than all other pro level cwb boards. I finally found my favorite board.
