Review for Hyperlite Byerly Home | Back one page

Hyperlite Byerly  reputation for a knees-bent style of riding using more supportive materials. On rail and always in control with additional forward lean and on-the-fly 11:1 gear ratio Boa adjustability for a secure overall fit. A boot dedicated to the 3-stage rocker experience for riders that tend to ride more on a rail in a crouched position with a centered weight distribution.

wow...its a byerly do you need to say more!! going from my states to these was the best move i have did yet..very very supportive in the heel/ankle area..foot bed is very soft, i have a narrow foot so it feels a tad loose compared to my states...great looking bindings. the boar system is imo the best thing going right now..

I thought for the price this binding would be awsome. Really though for the price they sucked. Great idea with the boa, but terrible application. There is no ability to tighten the part over the top of your foot. So basically the boot grips onto your ancle and leg only. When you are going from wake to wake and applying presure to pop off the wake your toes will slide out the front and stay there until you can loosen, and re-enter the boot and pull your foot back in the boot from hanging out the front. I went from the drive binding to these and though the price was way more, the level of usability is way less. The quality is excelent and comfort is execelent if you are just riding, but the ridability sucks if you actually want to do anything besides just riding. If they were closed toe boots they would be much better, but they arent. I regret getting them because it is a job to constantly be trying to adjust my feet and bring my toes back in. I am just always aware that my toes are going to blow out the front so it makes me not ride as hard. I just want to ride and not worry about my equipment. Everyone's foot is different though. Try them on before you buy them and be aware and put some pressure on the boot. See if you can get your toes to slide out the front. If so, dont get them because you will constantly be trying to adjust and not blow your feet out the front while you ride.
